Resizing FAQ

Which mode should I use for Instagram?
For Instagram posts, we recommend 1:1 Square (1080x1080) for the main feed or 4:5 Portrait (1080x1350). The portrait format grabs more screen real estate! For Stories and Reels, use 9:16 (1080x1920).
Does reducing quality blur my image?
Lowering quality (e.g., to 80%) mainly removes invisible color data to save file size. It rarely causes visible blur unless you go below 60%. It's great for faster loading websites.
What is 'Cover' vs 'Contain'?
Cover fills the entire canvas (cropping excess). Contain ensures the whole image is visible (adding white space if needed). Stretch warps the image to fit (not recommended).
Is my data private?
Absoluteley. SmolPixel runs entirely in your browser. Your images are never sent to a server. We use WebAssembly to process everything on your device, ensuring maximum privacy.
